Accepting nominations for Alumni Hall of Distinction
Through January 31, 2012, Broward College Alumni Network will be accepting nominations for the Alumni Hall of Distinction, Broward College’s new alumni recognition program. Since 1983, the college has recognized outstanding alumni who have made significant contributions in professional, civic, public and philanthropic arenas and have demonstrated how their lives have been enriched by their experiences at Broward College. The new Alumni Hall of Distinction allows us to honor more alumni across a broader range of categories.
Visit http://alumni.broward.edu/page/HDawards to review criteria and submit nominations. Inductees will be honored at the Awards Dinner on June 7, 2012 at Signature Grand in Davie.

Mike Fiers, a starting pitcher for Broward College’s 2005-2006 state and region champion baseball team, who won his start at the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado, has made it to the big leagues. Read more ...
Broward College Archives & Special Collections Digitization Project
The first phase of Broward College Archives & Special Collections digitization project is complete. Eighty five digital items are available for viewing on the Internet Archive website at http://www.archive.org/details/browardcollege. The collection includes student handbooks, Silver Sands yearbooks, college catalogs, institutional self-study reports, and assorted publications like 1963’s This is how we started and 1965’s First five years: Junior College of Broward County.
